Hi,
I have the iPhone 15 Plus phone. I am in the middle of a subscription (35 $ Basic) and it will be renewed automatically on 4Jan2025. I have two add-ons – Canada Wide 500 minutes and India-Pakistan 750 minutes. Both have several minutes still unused. I am thinking of switching from a physical SIM to eSIM to free up eSIM slot for another international SIM when I am traveling.
Will this (switching to eSIM) have an impact on my current subscription and the add-on minutes (described above). What is your recommendation regarding this?
Thanks,

Thanks for your advise & yes the physical SIM will become inactive anyway when ESIM is activated. So another physical SIM can be used

hi @anp1
you actually don't need to change to esim just to free up the slot. Public Mobile service does not work outside of US and Mexico, so you can remove your PM sim card anyway for the travel SIM card

That's a good strategy if you're planning on travel sim. Enjoy your travels.

I want to use the same cellphone for another SIM card. Thanks

Thanks Mayor.
My reason for switching is to free up SIM slot to use another international SIM to be used during travel to another country. Hence my question relevant to that.
Thanks

switching to esim from hard sim will have no effect on your plan or add-ons you have.
IMO...I'm sticking with hard sim. Easy to just switch when I have different cellphone.
