I want to change my subscription to the $20. it does not show up as an option for my account. I tried to go through the AI, it put me in a loop. I'm about to change to another phone company... please help me change my subscription!

we used to be able to upgrade / downgrade plans at will but that all changed a coupla years ago. Now we can only opt for whatever plan we see in our own account. I suggest you take the cheapest plan you see at that time. Next time you log in to your account, you likely see another plan just slightly cheaper still.

you see the problem yes? I cannot change my subscription to a lower one because... I've been a good customer for years? I just want to not pay $44 for the winter, I want to pay the $20 instead, but! I, personally, am not "allowed" to.. Obviously I didn't mean you specifically "force" me, but the company you are speaking for does, yes?

You can still change to any plans you see on your My Account. if you see a plan you like, please use Change Subscription to schedule a plan change

so, essentially, you are forcing me to continually pay for the more expensive plans, correct?

for all PM customer, you can only change to plans available on your My Account's Change Subscription page. If you don't see it there, you won't be able to change to it. Support won't help to change to plans not available on your My Account either
