i changed my password and am using the right email/user but it only lets me log into Community, when i try to log into self serve it tells me my login attempt failed.

If you can't get this done thru self ser\ve, you should consider creating a support ticket. Explain your issue to SIMON, the ? comment bubble in the bottom right.
Use as few words as possible to allow the BOT to understand you better (change self serve password). Answer his questions until you get to here:
Click on "Submit a ticket" and the Moderator team will take over your case and respond to your concern within 48 hours. May take longer, but the promise of the new Ticketing System was that it will reduce these wait times.

@StephaniefortinSelfserve and Community are seperate systems which have 2 different log ins, so if you change the password in Community, it won't change the password in selfserve, vice versa.

Clear your history/cookie cache..close browser open a fresh one.
If that fails open a browser in Incognito mode.
If you tried to many times system with a failed password system may have locked you out for an hour.
