My phone shows Public Mobile, I can send phone calls but I cannot receive phone calls, nor receive or send text.

Question. If you place your previous providers SIM card in your phone, is that still active?

It sounds like the port didn't go through. Check your private message box in the top right corner. I'll send you a number to call to fix this.

With your activation did you ask to transfer your number from your previous carrier? Did you wait for the text message asking you to respond yes? 

IIf you didn't wait for the text message then your part probably hasn't happened yet. Return your old SIM to your phone and wait for the text message.
