We have a 6S and are upgrading to a 12. I use the same Sim card, correct? And change the phone number to the new phone.

All your account and number information is in the SIM so just take it out of the iPhone 6S and pop it into your iPhone 12.

@Bubbles1 Just take the SIM card out of the 6s and put it into the iPhone 12 . And that’s it nothing more to do but enjoy your new phone
Just simply move the sim from phone to the other.
