Wi-Fi Calling

I received an offer yesterday to increase my data plan from 60Gb to 80Gb for an additional $6/mo. I would RATHER have Wi-Fi calling for an additional $5/mo. Is there anything preventing Public Mobile from offering this service, given that it doesn't require additional mobile data overhead or cell towers? Telus and Koodo both already offer this feature.

I thought that I would miss WiFi calling but it surprisingly hasn’t been an issue despite the marginal cellular signal at home as I watch the cruise ships sailing by on their way to Alaska

Hey @MadDog927

You're right. Having WiFi calling would actually be a wise thing for Public Mobile to do. It would take a lot of stresses off the Telus network. But alas, Public Mobile is a barebones service. The idea or concept of Public Mobile is to keep costs low as possible for customers. Maybe one day in the far far future. 🙂

No main Tier 3 providers has Wifi calling at the moment.  If you need it, you will have to check with Tier 2 providers like Koodo
