I'm removing my sim card for 3 months while we travel (keeping up my monthly payments) and will replace with a sim card from the country we are in. What I'm wondering is will my voice-mail still be active and will persons calling my phone hear my recorded message?

Sometimes autopay fails. So keep an eye on your credit card for successful payments at renewal time in case it fails while you're out of country. Or deposit enough money into the account to let the renewals draw from that balance and not worry or think about an autopay failure.
