Why am I getting transcriptions instead of voicemail recordings?

To turn off Live Voicemail on your iPhone, open the Settings app, tap Apps, select Phone, and toggle off the Live Voicemail switch.

To disable the "Take a Message" feature on your Google Pixel, open the Phone app, tap the More menu (three dots) in the top-right corner, select Settings, tap Take a Message, and toggle the switch to the Off position

Hello @Budgie15 

If you're seeing text like transcripts instead of standard audio notifications, your phones operating system may be the  reason.

For Apple, it's Apple Live Voicemail. It's a feature in iOS 17 or newer.

For Android, it's a built in tool like Call Screen or Samsungs "take a messages". 

If you press and hold on to 1, it should go to voicemail and you can hear them there.

You have iPhone Live Message or Pixel Live Message turned on. Disable it and reboot phone will change it back
