Interesting Virgin tried to get me back yesterday with an offer of $100 off my phone plus unlimited province talk and text plus 4 gb for $45 or 5 gb for $55, I kept having to tell him I wasn't with Koodo but Public and my plan won't go up after a year it didn't sink in, don't know if he hung up on me or I had a dropped call will be monitoring this

I guess they gave up on me, haven't heard from them in a while unless people are jumping ship and they are to busy trying to keep them lol

By far, in all aspects, PM is far better than Virgin. They wouldn' buzz me, if nothing more than PM is offered.

Same with I was with them for 7 years didn't offer me a thing

I think there is major changes afoot in the future and the carriers are repositioning themselves ahead of these changes. We should be seeing better pricing as a result.

I think all the Telco's are or were like that at one time. I remember many years ago trying to get a new customer promotion with telus after being a customer for a few years. I was told there was nothing they can do. Now they have a dedicated customer retention department, although they wouldn't come close to PM for mobile, they were incredibly helpful and generous when it came to my Optik TV, Internet and landline (yeah I am old).
Eventually Virgin will catch on!

Frankly, it is their loss. Maybe they will lick the wounds, reflect on the error made and come back to you next month. We are in the driver seat here. Virgin needs to know that.

Perhaps start the conversation by specifying a counter offer for a plan which would be competitive enough.

I was on Virgin, but a couple of weeks ago I called their loyalty department and she refused to offer me antyhing more than what was posted online for new customers, even though I had been a member for four years. (And the best deal available at that time was $45 for 2 GB + province wide calling + unlimited text, so pretty lame). The next day I went to PM and activated the $40 for 4.5GB 3G plan. I don't know why Virgin has no deals while Zoomer and Fido are giving away free data to their current members (each of them gave away an extra 2GB of data recently). Why would Virgin wait until their customers have left to finally make a decent offer? I was pretty unimpressed.
