Hello,
I have an LG G4 that I bought from Korea. The IMEI is ======.
The compatibility thing says it should work, but I have checked it at Koodo mobile and freedom mobile and it didn't work so I was worried that it might not be compatible.
The issue was that data worked, but calling didn't. Or it may have been the other way around.. calling worked but data didn't.
What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and purchase the sim card online?

@juliane77, based on the information from the willmyphonework database, the Korean models will work in Canada on 3G but will be severely challenged on LTE. The F500L model will also support Band 7 on LTE which is not that popular.

Your LG G4 should work with Koodo/Public Mobile, is your phone unlocked?

You can also check this website https://willmyphonework.net. Which suggests that Korean versions are compatible. So, either the Koodo test was faulty, or you have some other model.

@juliane77, you can also check using a site like willmyphonework.net.

If it does not work with Koodo it will not work with Public Mobile.
Any phone for PM must be locked to Koodo/Telus, or unlocked and have frequencies matching those mentioned in this article: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/Getting-Started/ta-p/162.
