I’m switching my phone from Bell Aliant to Public Mobile.

I’ve completed the payment and installed the eSIM. I also replied “YES” to the Bell Aliant text authorizing the transfer.

The phone connects to the Public Mobile network, and my mobile data is working.

However, my phone number is not being recognized for iMessage, and texting and calling only work when the old Bell Aliant SIM is enabled.

I’ve also tried deleting the original Public Mobile eSIM, purchasing a new eSIM, and setting it up again, but the issue remains.

hi @Jeremyreeve

tell us if the old one is physical sim card or esim?
and tell us if the PM sim is physical or esim?

and only put the PM sim in the phone (if you have esim, disable the old one, only PM is the enabled one, and set the label to Primary), then reboot your phone and reset network settings.   Test and tell us if outbound calls work, if inbound calls work, and if mobile data works

HI @Jeremyreeve

is your Bell Aliant a mobile line or land  line?

if it is land line,  it take 3 to 7 days.  So, until the port is done, you won't be able to use iMessage

can you receive incoming calls?
