One of the features that attracted me to Public Mobile was the ability to fully disconnect your service when you are out of the country. However, I seem to have a real problem getting them reactivate seemlessly. I don't know if there is some other way I can handle things or it is just a quirkiness of the PM system that doesn't accomodate these changes seemlessly.
The part that seems to cause the most problems is if I (or my wife) return home for a week or so, we reactivat our phones for a 10 day period then, allow them to suspend again. When we come back the next time and want to renew for 90 days, put the 90 day change in, pay the requisite amount but then the system immediatly renews for 10 days and then wants more money equivalent to that 10 cost before it will process the 90 days. Then it's the frustration of emails (learned these aren't monitored so, not answered) and then PMs to the forum moderators and wait a day or two before their responses. Once I connect, they provide great service and fix things right away.
So, my question is, is there a way to re-activate an account for a different term than the one in place when it was deactivated without having to rely on the PM customer service people?

Thanks Mary
Was just trying to find something I could do online without having to bother you moderators. You have all been very helpfull fixing this in the past. In the future, I'll approach you first.

Hey @RexBuck,
Thank you for bringing this up!
If a plan is suspended, and no future date has been put in place, the system will not recognize that you want to choose a different plan. This is the reason it 'requires' you to renew the plan that is on the account.
Should you require any assistance making changes, please feel free to send me a private message - I would be more than happy to help 🙂
Thanks,
Mary

Unfortunately, for expired/suspended accounts, PM's system currently doesn't allow reactivations on a different plan without the help of a moderator, only renewals of the previous plan. The best way to get that help is by private message to a moderator.
