Use data in US

I subscribed the US/Canada data plan. Do I need to do anything to continue to use the data when I enter US? Thanks

Will do next time.

it worked fine after getting close to the border

@AliceSitt  Maybe next time manually make the phone connect to T-Mobile if AT&T doesn't work properly, some people have found it works better.  If you want to bring this to Public Mobile's attention you can submit a ticket at the chat/message icon bottom right of this page but I guess it's hard to troubleshoot now that you're back in Canada.   Did data start working again as soon as you crossed the border?

I followed instructions and checked every step.  Roaming is on, AT & T, LTE.

Honestly speaking, kind of disappointed, but impressed at the quick response and support.

@AliceSitt   Then it should have worked.  Did you check that data roaming had not accidentally got turned off, I remember that happened to someone?    Which US carrier were you connected to, and at 5G or 4G/LTE?

I subscribed the 60GB Canada and US Data Plan.

@AliceSitt   Just to clarify, do you have a Canada-US 30 or 90 day plan, or a 15 day US roaming talk and text add on ($25), or a 15 day US roaming talk, text and data add on ($30)?

I checked and I did the same thing.  I was in New Jersey and New York for a few days.  I could call or text but there was no internet connection. I don’t think it’s about tall buildings, for I tried at different places.

@AliceSitt  You need to turn on data roaming and set the phone to 4G/LTE. The phone should connect to T-Mobile or AT&T.  If it tries to use Verizon it won't work.  If your phone is enabled for VoLTE you should have no problem.  If it isn't you are left with T-Mobile's 2G for voice calls where it still exists but data and text should still work assuming the Canada-US plan or appropriate add-on.  You may get a text about purchasing roaming when you cross the border but you can ignore that.  If anything doesn't work come back here and we'll help.
