Just thinking out loud, or on screen, but would it be better to make a manual payment on the new credit card before removing the old one and replacing it with the new one? If the OP runs into issues with the new card, they will have nothing on file at that point.
Is making a manual payment a good gauge for whether the card will work for Auto-pay?
Remember don't use the apt field and only use first 6 digits of the Postal Code, if it has a space in the middle drop the last number.

They have replace this card button, the only reason i don't advertise is that it never worked for me, but i think that may be because i was replacing with the different cards and bit the renew cards that only have different dates and security code

Chick on manage credit card
Remote old card
Add new card
Withdraw the payment to make sure everything is smooth
