Hey guys,
I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing problems with this particular device. I also have an S4 that I was using before and with the S4 it gets LTE just fine. I also tried it with a Moto G (gen 1) and it works just fine with LTE as well. But for some reason, with my V10 it only gets 4G (HSPA+ or HSPA). I have tried switching modes from the network menus (where you can set it to auto/LTE/GSM/ etc...but no luck.
My V10 is model number H901 (which is tmobile from US), and according to frecuencycheck cross reference it gets full compatibility with PM's network.

Should I email PM and tell me to allow my connect with LTE? a friend of mine told me something they kick you out of certain bands randomly.

Thanks for all your replis guys/ The thing is, that I am not able to get LTE connectivity. Whenever I switch the network mode to be GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto it won't get any data connection at all!, but when I siwtch it to be GSM/WCDMA auto the phone picks up 4G. 4G on my phone is not the rebranding if HSPA+ as LTE, it is actually HSPA+ which gets me **bleep**ty speeds of only up to 5mbps. On the other hand, with an LTE connection you can get up to 50 mbps easily.
===========
Update: I just tried switching modes again and it works! I now get full LTE. I think i might have received an update from t-mobile this past days. thanks a lot guys!

I know a couple lg phones require a factory reset. not sure if the v10 is one of those....

hi..
there is really not much difference between 4g and lte ... it's about the same.... you can read here:
https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-difference-between-4G-and-4G-LTE
it's more a name game from carriers to make something existing sound new and exiting again.....
at the end it just all depends what frequency your phone just picks up ..best is: do a couple speed tests to see....
cheers

I don't beliveve Public Mobile can do anything for you.
You've already mentioned that LTE works fine in other phones, but just not this LG phone. That would sound like a phone related issue to me.
That frequencycheck site has some wrong information and some incomplete information listed about Public Mobile. They claim that Public Mobile uses GSM 850 and GSM 1900 (incorrect) and they also say that Public Mobile uses LTE Band 4 (incomplete info). That site fails to mention that Public also uses LTE Bands 2, 5, 7, and 17.
Here's the official specs for your phone model:
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-H901BK
Based on that, LTE should work though.

@locotdot Do the rest of/are you able to make your APN settings look like what was in post 4 of this discussion thread? I don't have a LG V10 myself but I was able to get LTE from HSPA when I made sure my APN setting matched the ones there on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

What icon does it show across the top when you turn off WiFi?
My phone Galaxy S6 920I indicates 4G when in fact under Settings, About device, Status does show connected LTE as mobile network type and speed tests confirmed.
