US roaming Talk and text??

Hi. I just want to know what should I get for talk and text add on.

talk to local only? or all US and Canada?

text to NA? or internationally?

I added the pack to my phone for our recent cruise that went from Florida to San Juan .St.Thomas, St Maarten and back to Florida. I had service the majority of the time with the exception of a couple times in the middle of the ocean while on the ship. Excellent value for the cost.
