If I purchase 250 megs of US data for $10 can I use the phone to call while I am in the US?

Another option is the app Fongo, free, and you can call back to Canada  just using data or over wifi. Maybe that would work

@101hwy531 No, that add-on is for data only, and not very much of it! I wouldn't even want to rely on that for VOIP calls, as it's such a small amount of data.

You could forward to textnow then stick to data only in the USA. That works for calls incoming to your number. But texting and outgoing calls show from textnow number. If you need your line fully functional you'll need the data and talk text add ons

You would have to purchase the unlimited text and talk for 15$ 

If you want text  talk and data 3g, then you have to get the 30$ package.

Ensure roaming is enabled and you to t-mobile.
