With T-Mobile merging with Sprint sometime by the end of the year wonder how that will bother our roaming. Heard they are keeping T-mobile name but moving to Sprint network. Sprint is CDMA not GSM like PM. Will that mean in future will only get AT&T? Would be bad if that happens. Area in US I visit often doesn't have AT&T service only t-mobile. Hope the merger doesn't mean we lose a roaming partner.

I really think using T-mo's network going forward makes much more sense for the combined entity. Just about everywhere else in the world sits on an LTE + UMTS/HSPA [+ GSM optionally] stack, so it offers up more handset availability, probably more network equipment for ongoing expansion and maintenance, etc etc.

Hopefully it falls on the fence more likely to benefit us PMers 🤞

Well the good news is that you probably won’t need to worry about coverage 😁.

I think it's time for US carriers using CDMA to get on board the GSM train.

@tehowennathe Where are you hearing that they will migrate to the Sprint network? From this it looks like they plan to do the opposite;
