@Sherbert US based prepaid providers you just buy the sim with a set amount of data or goto to their site and pick the plan that you want.

Redpocket.com is another US provider with good plans. And yes, you can pay with a Canadian card and have the SIM sent to a Canadian address.

Yes. But not SMS conversations. They don't transfer back and forth.

He's not saying its an add-on. Try removing the odd characters at the end after "only".
I had a good experience with a provider called H2O. Pure pay as you go. $1 for a SIM and a startup bucket of $9.
I have chosen to continue getting their marketing emails and they have some incredible promos on now. Half off their posted prices.

Good detail reading but he's pretty helpful around here. I'm sure it was just a typo. Happens.
Maybe he was adding them all up. The big bundle with its 250. + 250 + 500 + 1000 = 2000. You could do that. And it should work. A little spendy but nonetheless. 🙂

Most conventions centers have complimentary Wi-Fi for attendees, though it may be heavily overloaded depending how many other people are trying to stream the sessions.

@Sherbert Yes, if you are going to stream live you are going to require a lot of data. Unfortunately for you needs the current Public Mobile US Roaming Data add-on is not a good fit. Maybe worthwhile investigating local sim options when you are down there. Rates in the US are very competitive. I wish Public Mobile would offer US Roaming add-ons that worked like their regular add-ons without the 10 day limitation. Maybe one day.....

the only way to get more data with Public mobile before the 10-11 day period is to:
1) buy a data addon
2) load funds and ask mods to renew ( can be a up to a 2 day wait)
3) combination of the above load funds needed for the 1gb data addon buy the 500mb one and ask mods to reverse "upgrade" you to the 1gb because of system limitations by using the remaining funds. (there is no certainty that they will do this but in the past they have )
most conventions hotels Starbucks have wifi so i would do as much as possible on wifi

1GB is the largest data on. You could try using zip sim https://zipsim.us/data-only. They have a 2 GB data option.

@SherbertRecording wont' take up any bandwidth or data.. it is the upload that is going to cost you. You can record all you want, edit.. then upload perhaps where there is wifi.
You can also stagger your purchases... buy 2GB first.. then purchase more as necessary?
Good luck.
