Hello everyone, not sure if this is where to start but this is where the chat agent told me to turn.
I have an iPhone 6s running iOS 12.5.7 which is the highest iOS the phone will run. I have a physical SIM card that I just purchased but haven't installed yet. I was going to install the PM app first, but it won't let me stating that I need iOS 13 or higher.
Is there a workaround for this, like installing the previous version of the PM app?
Thank you in advance for your guidance.

I don't use the app at all.
Because I thought it was entirely optional. That it couldn't do anything for you that you couldn't already do for yourself with a web browser and Self-Serve login.
Forcing reliance on an app is a step backwards. I think threads like this one are going to become common over coming years ... Telus has always had good hardware and awful software, I can't imagine them being able to actively develop, test, debug, troubleshoot, and support this stupid app on every version of every device and every operating system here. This is a "Bring Your Own Phone" "Bring Your Own Device" operator, making sure that any given app is 100% compatible with every single device the subscribers bring here will be an impossible chore after enough time.
Unless, of course, the list of supported devices is dramatically reduced. To, say, a small selection of devices being sold by the operator. So I wonder if PM is going to eventually drop the app or eventually evolve into another Koodo store?

@LitlLdy Interesting yours updates higher iOS wonder if it’s a storage issue , is your phone storage maxed out @CherylS64 can buy extra iCloud storage and maybe it willlfree up room in the device to install later iOS version like @LitlLdy iohone 6s @CherylS64

@CherylS64 , my iPhone 6s updated to iOS 15.7.9 and I have the Public Mobile app on it! I wonder why yours won’t update to it!
Edit: Several of us wish we could still do activations using the website instead of just the app 😔

@CherylS64 I know we used to be able to untill the introduced the all fee months ago , now all new activations need the app unfortunately:(

Thank you for the quick response...I had a feeling that was the workaround. Shame you can't just activate it from the desktop.

@CherylS64 No sorry you need the app to activate , can you use a friends phone to download the app to activate ? Then they can select app and you can manage your account in the website from there
