Trouble with reactivation...

Sveza1
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Hello,

I was abroad (outside of Canada for some months) and today I reactivated my public mobile sub, but I wasn't receiving any sms / texts after enabling the previous SIM. I followed instructions to setup Access Point Name, so I can setup Public Mobile as my network carrier, except I end up receiving a message "APN settings are not available for this user", so either I'm locked or it's something else.

Regards,

Sveza

Carriers can only lock your phone if you purchased a new phone from them before December 1, 2017. PM only sold refurbished phones in the past. Therefore, PM doesn’t lock phones.
Does you make a manual payment to restore service with the 1-855-4PUBLIC with the registered CC on file?

You can also make manual payment with vouchers. You can purchase vouchers at any 7-11, Canadian Tire gas stations, London Drugs, Canadian Superstore, Shell, Shoppers Drugmart, Safeway or Staples then dial 611 and enter voucher number.

It was under 90 days and my sub status is now active. Everything seems to be OK, except I'm not getting texts / sms or phone calls it seems. Public mobile may have locked the phone, which is why I want to reach support, but how can I?

Don’t let it exceed 90 days. Set up a case and if you are lucky they may be able to reactivate and continue where you were at.

@Sveza1

How long did you pause your Subscription while abroad?

If it is longer than 90 days then your account will be closed, SIM will no longer work and your number will be returned to the carrier you got the number from.

Call 1-855-4PUBLIC and check on the status of your account.

SMS doesn't use APN or data.  Did you remove the non-Public Mobile SIM card?
