Hello
I'm switching to public from Telus. I made the request at 1045am. Most things seem to be working but not all. I can recieve texts from an Android phone but can't reply to them (I have an iPhone).
I've tried restarting multiple times. Just not sure if it's time or something else i should try. Thanks

Solved! iPhone was still showing two carriers in my settings. When I disabled Telus, everything worked properly.

@G69 , check your iMessages settings. Android devices cannot communicate via iMessage. Also ensure that you have RCS enabled for texting. RCS can take several hours to work. It is a google thing.

Did you reply to the text with YES from Telus confirming you are porting over to PM? There is a 90 minute for you to reply.
The Telus SIM will continue to work up to 4 hours until porting is completed. Once it stops working then switch to the PM SIM and reboot your phone.

It's possible that a reset networks might be needed.
Also ensure that you remove your Telus SIM card.
Also in settings enable messages as sms.

important question, can you receive inbound calls?
if you receive inbound calls, and just the text is a problem. Go to Settings, remove the phone number first. Reboot phone. Then go back to Settings and add the phone number back to re-register iMessage
