I am still struggling here - I called the Telus Transfer number provided (apprecoate it). I was transferred a couple of times and went through the verification process with a Telus agent (Pic of my license and then me). She indicated it required a manual transfer - after waiting for 20 mins while she engaged with support we were disconnected and received an email below. I cant get a live person in chat and when I can get to the screen to create a ticket its only to transfer a number TO Public. Cant see a means to request approval to transfer from.
Hi xxxx,
This is xxxx from Telus client care, I've already spoken with our PORT team and as per support you will be needing to reach out to Public mobile through chat, they need to verify the account first so that the Telus PORT team can approve the transfer.
Thank you

Ill try that - the Telus web site says
Lost or can’t find your old SIM card (or eSIM)?
Please call your old service provider to let them know you’ve lost your old SIM card (or eSIM) and that you’re transferring to TELUS. Once your old service provider has authorized this, you can return to this page to complete your transfer. From Telus Site

just call Telus helpdesk and they can move your number over. Telus can do that with lines porting within is Telus umbrella (Telus-Koodo-Public Mobile).
Add: i have also send you Telus porting team number and you can ask them. Please check your Community inbox

There an option. There is a number you can call that is primarily used for Koodo and Telus but some have had success using it with Public Mobile porting issues. Please go to your inbox using this link to see the number as they don’t allow the number to be posted on the forums. They can assist you porting your Public Mobile account to Telus.

you are lucky, Telus owns PM and they can help even you cannot receive the porting authorization text. But you have to call Telus support and tell them the situation and they can help from Telus end
