Mine and my husband's phones will not send or receive text messages.  We have been in Alaska for 3 weeks and did not use our phones at all because we were unable to add a roaming package on, tried but it didn't work and was given a refund. We have returned to canada and our phone will not send or receive texts

@LouAnne2 - try removing your SIM card and move it into another phone (perhaps not each others since both devices were in Alaska), then move the SIM cards back into your own phones. Did that help reset your devices/SIM cards?

You may also try to perform a Reset of your device's Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN and APN settings, and connected Bluetooth devices that you've used before.

Iphone:

To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.

Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.

android:

Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.

Check in your Settings to see if Cellular Data is turned on. Also power off your phone then back on again.

Have you tried a restart? What a shamozzle all this roaming stuff is being.
