Hi there,
I switched over to Public Mobile from Koodo just last month and ported my number to do so. Occasionally when I send texts, they send from the temporary number which I was given in order to keep my original phone number. It only does this with certain numbers and at random times. Can somebody help me fix this?

@Inexot seems that your account wasn't provisioned properly. Contact the moderators and ask them to reset your service.
There are 2 ways to contact the Moderator Team:
Once connected to Simon, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
- Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent.
- Keep an eye on the envelope top right of your screen. The mods answer will show up there. When it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue. Stay safe.

@Inex hi sounds like an issue with your account try contacting a moderator you can do so by clicking the question mark at the lower right corner,to avoid going around in circles with Simon say that you want a human to speak to, a ticket will then be generated briefly mention your issue, you should get a response between 2 to 48 hours a reply should show up in your little envelope in the top right corner

By any chance are you using iMessage? Is it possible that iMesssage may still be associated with the other phone number. I'm not too familar with Apple software, but my thinking is how messages to non iMessages users would be sent by standard SMS, for which the information about the sendeer would be set by Public Mobile. As for messages to other iMessages users, it could show an incorrectly associated phone number if the message gets sent thorugh the internet, but the correct number if it ends up gettting sent as SMS.

@Inex If your phone port completed normally and you can receive calls from customers that are non Telus, Koodo or Public then go into your messages app and clear the cache and restart your phone.
If it's still a problem hit the ? and submit a ticket to PM for help.

Which model phone do you have?
Does talk outgoing and incoming work fine?
Maybe try rebooting your phone. Network reset of the phone.
