How Can I get a copy of text messages records for police statement that is further then what it shows on the phone?

If it's on the phone that you're currently using; stop using your phone immediately and call a data recovery service.
Tell them it's for a criminal investigation and they'll take the precautions required to extract old data from your phone.

I am not sure whether Canadian providers keep the text messages content.
US Providers does not keep the message contents.

@tremblay470, Did you set up backup you data to the cloud storage? If yes, you can pull your backup data.
