Any known issues of text messages not sending and/or receiving?
Been a ongoing issue since last night.
Account payment is good. Tried rebooting the phone multiple times. Am able to make phone calls no problem. Just no text messages.
Phone is a OnePlus 8 Pro on Android 11 if it matters.
Tried both the default messages app and Google messages also. Same issue.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help guys. I reached out to customer service and they pushed some kind of reset. Eventually it just started working as normal.
Not exactly sure if that was a fix or it "fixed" itself on its own. But I just received 50+ messages in one shot. Haha.

Oh ok the SMSC is for outgoing.
You can test your sim in your wifes phone when you can get it in your hands.

I'm located in ontario. the SMSC number is 1-647-580-0172 but is shown: 1-647-580-0172",145
and I'm not able to change it? not sure what that means?
upon some testing. i am able to send SMS/text. but nothing is coming in?
i confirmed with my wife's iphone...she's getting my messages but i'm not getting her's. as well as my friends have been messaging me all day but nothing is coming in.
i just opened a ticket...waiting to hear from customer support.....

Can you verify the SMSC # on the phone?
My phone has text messaging settings as follows:
in the texting app get into settings like with the 3 dots menu.
Then I have More settings. Then Text messages. And there shows Message Centre. The number should be 1-647-580-0172
There are other ways to see and set that number. It shouldn't get changed but things happen.

HI @luigibell78 I have checked the Telus outage page and don't see anything related with mobile service
But which city you are at?
as what @JK8 suggested try a network reset
or try to reseat the sim
If still not going anywhere, open ticket with PM CS Agent,
open a ticket with PM Support. Click on the Bubble or directly at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:
After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

Do not have another phone to test.
Voice and data work correctly.

you have another phone to test?
did you try texting in another area , farer from where you had text problem?
