Hi!
I am new to Public Mobile (and Canada) and got the plan activated yesterday. However, when I sent a text message to my friend, I never received her reply and she shared a screen shot that a person replied with my number that it is a wrong number.
Will really appreciate the help to solve this issue.

No porting was involved and it was a new number I had selected.
Ok I will try to submit a ticket to a moderator.

Did you select a new number during activation or was porting involved? Incomplete port may explain your problem.

Did you port (transfer) your phone# ? You may need to submit a ticket to a moderator by clicking on the question mark on the bottom right.
