Hello,
I just set up a new account for my son. We have tested a few phone numbers for texting and calling and things seem to be working fine. However, when he tries to contact 1 number, the text message does not go thru, but the phone call does. And when she tries to message him via text, someone else replies "wrong number" to her and the reply is not from our end. I tried her mom's phone number and she was able to get the text messages no issue. They are with the same provided (Fido) and have the same area code (250)
Can we have an admin or tech support look into this please.

Thanks. I have tried it and now we shall see if this is the case. Goodness, I really hope so. These are two old friends trying to reconnect again

I am confirming her phone type now. If that is the case, what do i do without getting a new number for him?

@Devdan08 When you setup that account did you select a new number? If yes, it's possible that number belonged to an iPhone user who forgot to de-register the number. Is Contact 1 using an iPhone? If yes then that's the problem. (iMessage)

They are able to call each other but are not able to text, tho he can send and receive text from her mother's phone. When I text her from my phone (S7 Active) she received the message without issue.
His phone is my old Active S5, which was functioning 100% for the last few years and the only reason he has it now is I upgraded to something newer to fit my needs

Well, this is probably obvious, but you are entering the correct number when texting right? I assume so.
Try doing this with another phone. Put your son's SIM inside another phone and do that test, see if the same thing happens.
If the same happens check in with the Public Mobile moderators, there are two ways to reach them:
1-Click the question mark on the bottom right hand side of your screen to talk to SIMon the chat bot.
