Talk did not work with US add on

I purchased us add on for my trip to us however data and text work but talk did not. Please explain

Hi Dunkman. I am no longer in the US however, plan to be back there next month and would like to use my Public Mobile subscription while there for talk. I was on the AT&T network and did try to shut my phone down and bring it back up to no avail. Interestingly, sitting in Ontario and looking at my cellular network I only have the option of LTE and 3G. No option for VOLTE

which US network are you connected to?  Manually try changing it and try all 3, one of them should work

T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T

iPhone XR should be VoLTE compatible with Public mobile network and voice calling should not have been affected while roaming with the XR. 

Are you still in the USA?  If you are, I would recommend reboot of your phone.  Network reset of phone (note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords).  Which US carrier were you using?  Sometimes, manually switching to one of the other US partners could be tried.  Public mobile uses AT&T, T mobile and Verizon as their partners.

I have an Iphone XR with the latest SW.  I could text, run data, however when trying to make a call the Public Mobile voice would come on and say I am not subcribed to the plan, however my billing says I was on plan and my ability to roam data also showed I was on plan.

what phone do you have?  And your mobile data works?  

it might have to do with the fact that your phone not on PM's VoLTE whitelist

if your phone is not on the list, then you cannot use VoLTE.  You can try to connect to T-Mobile and see if its old 2G network still works and able to help with voice calls

if not, then your only solution is to download VoIP app TextNow and use the app to make calls.
