TCL phones seem a little on the pricey side. If ever there was a good sale, I might give on a try. A lot of these generic brands don't offer proper software updates which is disconcerting when the cost is so high. I don't mind no software updates on a burner phone that will be used for less than a year.
The way that they've chosen to move away from the Alcatel branding confuses me. Alcatel is a much-more recognized brand name, largely because of years of DSL provider using Alcatel modems. I would say that without knowing the pricing, it's hard to gauge how popular these devices will be and if people will be willing to pay for them. I don't see much unique about these models.
