Switching from Freedom on LG G6 - No LTE only 4G showing - Solution

For those of you that recently switched from Freedom and happen to be using an LG G6 (mine is factory unlocked).

If you've validated your APN settings, rebooted the phone and such like, try this:

Settings --> Networks Tab --> More --> Mobile Networks --> Network Mode --> Set this to GSM/WCDME/LTE auto

Restart phone for good measure and hopefully that works!

For factory unlocked phones, the settings stay after a restart. but FM locked phones, which were unlocked later to be used on PM might not. Try the following two solutions, they might revert after a restart too

With the LG, it is very likely that you will need to do a factory reset to get the data working.  I had to do one when I bought a new LG G4.
