I currently have an active phone number/account with Public using an eSIM. I'd like to switch to a physical SIM. When I go to the physical SIM order page it sounds like it's going to start a new plan for me if I order one. Can I order and use one without changing my account?

It should not create a new account. It will just charge you $10 for the sim card. But, I would not purchase it from the site, it will take up to 10 business days to arrive.
I would buy instore from a Koodo/Telus.
Or from from Amazon it's faster and $5.00

best to buy the sim card in person from a Telus or Koodo or Mobile Klink store. Or buy from Amazon
after you got the physical sim card, you will need to ask PM support agent to help you to update it on the system (and also, sound like you have trouble logging in, so it is good to ask them to check as well)
