Instead of simply porting my number, can I swap numbers between Public and another provider?

One would think that should be 'easy' as it really only takes cooperation between 2 providers. And if those 2 providers are under the same parent company, should be quite a bit easier.
Alas, mobile service providers are in the business of taking customers away from other providers, so they won't make it easy to accommodate such an easy requests.
Agree, it sucks.

@VisionDreamer
If you'd like your phone number porting is the only option. Porting is your only "swap". After you port from Public, your account will be closed. You will start fresh at your new service provider.

you cannot swap numbers between Public and other provider. Porting is the only way but it will close the account of the number where it ported from

@VisionDreamer - No, you cannot swap numbers. Once you move a number from one provider to another, the account is auto closed.
