Spotty Data

First, public mobile is great. I have service for talk and text always when I am in my normal area. Sometimes when I go further north of the city it's spotty. But the data has a bad habit of cutting in and out, resetting, when I'm in an iPhone app using the data.
I think it's my iPhone (not a fan) but PM may be the reason.

But I can receive phone calls , unlike Freedom mobile, I had no service in (my last) 3 days with that provider.

It could also be faster turning off LTE on a 3g plan.

@HarleyAverage I find sometimes in rural areas of my province I get better results when I force my phone to 3g. You might try that too.

You're simply going into an area with poor coverage for data (4G) or network traffic could be really high. You could try switching the sim card into another phone and see if the data is still spotty.
