Switched to public mobile a month ago and during last week not getting sms. Put in old SIM card and text came in.
I did not see text from old provider to verify transfer.
How do you fix. Thx

Number 1 mistake with new members trying to port their old number over to PM.
To port your number over:
1- Leave the old SIM in the phone.
2- Activate the SIM on a PC.
3- Wait for a text from your previous carrier and confirm you are porting over.
4- Power off the phone and switch the old SIM with the PM SIM.
If you missed confirming you are porting over to PM within the 90 minute window then your porting is cancelled.
Contact a CS_Agent through private message or call the number as per @Outdoorsman sent through private messaging.

Most likely porting was not completed or it failed.
You have to initiate number transfer at PM side and keep OLD SIM in your phone. You will receive transfer authorization SMS from OLD provider and have to reply Yes within 90 minutes.
Both account have to be active.

@Tidder hi if you didn't reply yes to text within 90 minutes you need to reinitiate request to transfer your old plan must still be active, I will PM you the number to reinitiate port request
