Slow port means I'm paying another month to telus

I started the port on the 18th, activating the new account with a new phone number.

Yes, before you ask, I have read that article, and no, it didn't help. It still complains that it's 'having trouble' porting.

Opened a ticket and got a ticket number promising a 48 hour response. That would have been great, since that might have got me off Telus before their billing cycle flipped.

No such luck. I PMd the mods here as well on Wednesday and haven't seen a response yet either.

After the port, I'll see if Telus will just drop that last month assuming the port goes through soon, but paying for two accounts isn't exactly the savings plan I signed up for.

I really don't need much hand holding here, I just need someone to push the port forward.

Yes, I have tried that porting post as well.

just FYI:  you won't actually have to pay for 2 lines.  PM mods will reset your plan cycle to start on the day they act on your port request.  And if you are on a Telus postpaid plan, you should expect a pro-rated refund in 4 to 6 weeks.

That didn't happen for me. They finally fixed my port but my plan's start date is the same so now I have to actually request fair compensation and play the waiting game again for a response.

I am on the same boat but from Bell, one week still no response from anyone here or Twitter or email.

Can someone look at this again? Telus dropped the number on the morning of the 26th so now I'm callers are getting "this number is not in service" and there are resumes out with this number on them. It was fine while Telus was still answering for voicemail, and we caught a couple interview requests.

I fear we're missing potential jobs here, so it's getting a bit nerve-racking waiting with no uodates 96 hours later.

Thanks

Yes, all carriers are required to pro-rate for postpaid service as long as you are not bound by a contract.

Telus pro rates? That's surprising, but hopeful.
