New member, I switched over but when do I put the Sim card in to activate new account? Been 2 hrs so not sure what's going on.

Yes, Public Mobile does notifiy of porting being compelte by text message. However, that message will only be received if your Public Mobile SIM card is in the phone. Also, it should be noted that if you only have one device, removing the old carrier's SIM card too early would result in porting failture if the text message from the old carrier doesn't get responded to.
As for the notfication by text message of porting be complete sent by Public Mobile, this message doesn't actually make reference to number porting but rather just says something along the along the lines of welcome to Public Mobile and to restart the device. That text messager doesn't get sent by Public Mobile, however, until number porting is done.

No notification. The old SIM will stop working and your phone will show SOS . Just power off the phone and switch to PM SIM and power back on.

The steps must be followed in exact order if you are porting your number over to PM:
If all steps are followed and there was a problem, there could be provisional/backend issue with the SIM so contact a CS_Agent to fix at:
