Sim Card Slot 2 Empty

Hi,guys after are rough start which was me not understanding stuff I have used public mobil and love it,took my phone to Florida with no problems calling to Canada.

My problem is with my phone,I have a dual Sim card phone,I can't seem to get the 2nd sim card to work,I bought 2 and wasted 25 bucks a peice,anyone out there know what sim to use ?

The sims with the 5 contacts on the end will not work so is there anther kind ? I'll get it sorted out but though if someone here had the same problem they might know.

 @huffy47 : What's the make/model/submodel of the phone? Some second SIM slots may be limited in what frequencies/bands they can use. Or...are you sure it's not an sd card slot? Most SIM's these days are tri-cut for the three sizes of SIM slots.
