Service and Data not working on IPhone 6+

O1505B

I have used methods I've seen online like resetting network settings, turning airplane mode on and off, etc. Resetting network settings worked twice, but after an hour or so it goes back to "Searching...".

@O1505B here's how to do @popping 's suggestion. sync to iTunes
1. Insert new working SIM - do not turn phone on (if SIM is already in, turn off)
2. Connect to computer with USB cable.
3. Start iTunes if it doesn't auto run
4. iPhone will switch on. Wait until iTunes registers it and checks for updates
5. Install the carrier profile update (if offered, if not, go to step 6)
6. Disconnect and restart. From @luddite.

Stay safe.

You may need to connect your iPhone 6+ to iTune running on a PC or Mac to update your account.

Hi @O1505B

iPhone 6 stuck on “Searching…” and can’t connect to network

Issue

iPhone 6 stuck on “Searching…” for network. iPhone 6 won’t connect to network. Can’t connect to network manually with Carrier settings in iPhone 6. Carrier option missing from iPhone settings. Can’t manually connect to network. iPhone 6 Carrier option gone from settings menu. iPhone 6 suddenly stuck on searching for network.

Solution

If you wake up one day and find your iPhone 6 stuck on “Searching…” in the top left corner, then most likely you will find that if you go into your Settings, the Carrier option is missing.

The reason for this happening is still unknown, and it can happen randomly at any time. If your iPhone is stuck on Searching… or you’re missing the Carrier option from your Settings rendering you unable to connect to your network, then here’s how you can fix this problem:

    • The most common solution to this issue is making sure your iPhone is up to date.
To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update and download any updates available.
You can also connect your iPhone to iTunes and update your software with your computer.

Once the software update is complete, your iPhone should be up and running again.
If you had no software updates available, or it did not fix the issue, proceed to the next step
    • Reset your Network Settings on your iPhone (Note: This will erase saved WiFi passwords on your device, so remember to reconnect to WiFi after this step)
      • Go to Settings > General and then tap on Reset
      • Select Reset Network Settings

  • If your iPhone is still not getting any service and is still stuck on searching, the last step is to perform a full backup/restore of your iPhone.

For a complete guide on how to backup/restore your iPhone, click here.

  • If you still find yourself missing the Carrier option from your iPhone settings after performing a factory restore of your iPhone, then at this point consider having your iPhone replaced or repaired by contacting Apple or your Carrier.

@O1505B

  •  try removing the sim card and seeing if the connections are dirty and clean it off.
  • try enable/disable lost/stolen mode in your self serve account.
  • try changing your preferred network type to 3g.
  • if you live near the border turn off roaming
