I cannot send or receive SMS. 
I-Message works great…so it’s not an apple issue. 
Desperate to resolve this major issue

Thank you very much for the above links.  I managed to get a ticket. The agent resolved the problem within minutes by resetting my account at his end. Yeah SMS is working.

did you enable Send Text on the Settings?

please check again:

  1. Settings app. on your Apple® iPhone®.
  2. Apps. Messages. .
  3. Send as Text Message switch

also, best to test your sim card in another phone, on an Android, that would confirm if text/sms is enabled

or ask support to refresh the account. 

 submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:

             Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" ,  "Other",  "Log In".
