I ported my number to Public Mobile, and SMS has not been working since then. I submitted a ticket but haven’t heard back yet.

Do you mean SMS or RCS? If SMS isn’t working, then yes, submitting a ticket is the right thing to do since only they can fix that issue. Because when I ported initially my SMS worked but my RCS took over a day for it to work.
