SIM card problems

Hey,

I'm having SIM card problems. I've had the same SIM card for years but it's giving me problems now. Sometimes I can't connect to the network. None of my calls go through (they don't connect) and I can't use my data. If I restart my phone, everything works fine. My phone is a Xiaomi Mix 3.

Do I need a new SIM?

@deepg82 did you recently update the software on your device?

reset your network settings

open settings
scroll down to system
tap on reset options
tap reset wifi,mobile & Bluetooth
tap reset settings and restart

contact customer support mods before you purchase a new sim

click on the question mark chat bubble to the bottom right of your screen
type "no service"
(use the chat bubble options, then click "submit a ticket, click me" option)
*login using your community account

make sure to check your inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically, for a response

If you do end up buying a new SIM card you can easily change it in your account.

Click change sim card. Green arrow on picture below. 

That's all that is required to transfer your account to a new sim card.

Try wiping the sim with a clean cloth and reinsert your sim.

Do you have another phone to test your SIM card in to see if it's a device issue?
