I purchased a Public Mobile SIM from a local retailer but, after porting my phone number from a corporate TELUS account and activating a new PM account last night, the SIM will not connect to a network from my iPhone 8.

Hi,
you should try hard resetting your phone By holding the up volume button and the power button! Also, try taking your sim out and putting it back in. Hope it helps

@brilliantstrike Try a "Reset All Settings" via Settings -> General -> Reset.
Contact the @Moderator_Team by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right hand corner
There seems to be quite a few issues with activations lately.. Good luck. I hope you have a spare SIM card in the interim.
