How do I know how many rewards I can gain from the activity in community?

at the end of the following month, usually between 6th to 20th, PM will add badge to your profile and will have announcement like this one:

and once you see the announcement, check your My Rewards and you should see the points added

talking about it, I don't think Novemenber contributors announced yet

I would just concentrate on assisting first. most people will fall under the red cirlce  bottom of the list.

You will know your reward level by looking at the badge earned for that month under your profile or in the rewards portal under Activity. It is labelled Give Back.
