Reactivate SIM card after changing to e-sim

Mr-Newlove

After getting a new phone I switched to e-sim before realising the new phone had a sim card slot. Using physical sim gives me a lot more flexibility to switch devices.

When I try to goto the App->Change Your SIM Card-> (Enter the sim card number)

I then get error: "Your SIM card is already in use"

Maybe it is still active on my account? How do I switch to it instead of the eSIM then?

@Mr-Newlove after you got the physical sim, login My Account, go to Profile to update the sim card number

The eSIM will be voided, but still turn off the eSIM yourself on your phone, insert the physical sim, reboot phone and should be hood

Ok, I will see if I can pick up a new card locally, I expect I will need to switch phone soon. I should be able to just activate the new SIM and it will then turn my eSIM off? And then I can just move my SIM over again when I need to switch phones?

When I insert the SIM into my current phone with the eSIM it sees the card is public mobile with my phone number, but it just never connects to the network, even after turning the eSIM off.

sorry, all Canadian sim cards are not reusable, this is not just PM.  in fact, most carriers in the world has same sim card policy

Really? That seems incredibly wasteful and unnecessary.

hi @Mr-Newlove sim cards are one time use

After you changed to eSIM, the old physical sim card no longer useful and cannot be reused.  if you need to change to physical sim, you need a new one.  But from Telus or Koodo or Mobile Klink or Amazon
