Re: Not able to receive text messages from Rogers customers

@chillpills Good to know!

I'm tagging the @CS_Agent so they can see this is becoming a real issue for users.

In the meantime, I'm using Whats App without any issues! So, I recommend that. However, some of my contacts refuse to use Whats App (dont even ask, no clue why), so I really hope PM can fix this issue.

@dlkirchin @gblackma @Hissae2 Update: So I called Rogers since my dad is with them and it seems like it is a problem with Rogers outgoing texts to Telus carriers. They are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it apparently. The tech said it could take anywhere around 3-4 days to resolve.

@dlkirchin any luck? I got all my messages flooding in overnight from yesterday but I am not getting anything that people sent this morning! Does not seem like it has resolved yet. @CS_Agent please look into this!

@dlkirchin , @Hissae2  another  option would be to add a voip app such as TextNow and use it over WiFi (or data) to make/ receive/ send  calls and texts for free.

This also allows you to call home if in the US  or Mexico and also to check your voicemail from your own phone without using minutes.

privacy concerns, it's not universal, have to install an app, don't trust facebook, uses data

There are many reasons, but the key one is that people don't want to use another service unecessarily when text messaging is already inclueded in the Public Mobile service.

Same problem. Unable to receive texts from anyone on Rogers all day. Just started today (Thursday). Restarting phone did not help.
