Sorry, but at the risk of sounding dumb, I think I missed something in the answer here... I am wondering the same thing with the automatic top up I was charged on the same day as my renewal? Is it a fee that Public Mobile charges for me automatically paying them monthly? If so, something flipped along the way, because I used to get bonus credits for allowing them to automatically pull money from a credit card.
If this is the case, could I not have my bank automatically pay public mobile instead to avoid an "automatic top up" fee?
Thanks for any feedback,
Caleb

There is NO fee to pay a PM bill.
If you have funds on your account - either you exchanged points for money or you did manually add few $, PM will take that money First and then 'top up' charging your credit card.
There are very few bonuses from PM these days. Having autopay is not a ;bonus' anymore and you will not get any points for that.
The only bonus points you will get for your referrals, % of a plan's cost and contributing in this forum. And I guess some anniversary points but all these points are so negligible comparing with what USED TO BE!. When you collect 20 points you can convert them to $20.

1. PM is prepaid carrier and charge you on Renewal date to renew the service for the next 30 days (30 days, not monthly)
2. no extra fees other than the plan fess and the government e911 fees
3. the monthly credit was the old rewards system. now everyone is change to Public Points. You pay full price first and early 2% points back. You need to collect the points until 20 to redeem for $20 bill credit
