Yes, we are wary, there is no way to check the IMEI to see if it is compatible.

@seaforthcastle I would steer away from phones not specifically made for the Canadian market.

X25 Ultra is not on PM's VoLTE whitelist.  This is not really a "Canadian" phone

Generally most major brands of phones released after 2024 and are designed and sold for the Canadian market would work. 

Hare are couple choices of phones that will work:

• iPhone 8 or later
• Google Pixel 4 or later
• Samsung S22 or later
• Samsung Flip 2/Fold 2 or later
• Samsung A15/A35/A55 or later

But  If you are unsure whether a particular phone will work, share the model here and we can help

We currently have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and LG Velvet. We were looking at the X25 Ultra available from Temu but there's no way to verify the IMEI: https://share.temu.com/oljaCjnjZIA

We don't want to spend more than a few hundred dollars.
