Question about account while away

sehaha

Hello everyone,

I will be leaving on a trip overseas from Dec 12-28, where PM does not have a roaming add-on. My plan (120 day/4gb/$40 plan) renews on December 17, 2017. I am wondering if I can delay my payment to December 28, 2017 when I am back? Would I lose the autopay credit if I opt to do so?

Thank you in advance for your help! 🙂

@Mooremarco56 you probably should have started a new thread for this but I'll try to help anyway.  The short answer is that NO a SIM card cannot be reactivated.  But if someone ported your line this is very troubling.  Was it recently?  You may want to reach out the moderator team to ask for assistance because if you did not authorize it, they might be able to recover the number for you or help in other ways.

Please see instructions here:

How can you get help with your account, activation, or service?

In your message please include:

  • PM Phone Number, 4 digit PIN, Account email address, Detailed explanation of your issue

Don't know your pin?--provide any 3 of the following:

  • Complete mailing address, Email address, Alternate phone number, Date of birth, Last top up date & amount

How long until they reply?:

  • Office Hours: Mon-Friday 9am to 9pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 7:30pm [Toronto Time].
  • Messages are replied to during office hours, in the order in which they are received
  • Typical response time is between 1-3 hours, depending on message queue, but can be up to 48 hours.
  • There is no need to send multiple messages.

How can I view my private messages between myself and a Community Moderator?

@Mooremarco56 thanks for trying to help, but two things:  1) you replied to a fairly old thread.  the original poster was planning to travel last December, so they've already gone and returned home and no longer need any help;  and 2) they said they were going overseas, so the US Roaming add-ons are of absolutely no help.

But since this thread has been revived from the dead: @sehaha how was your trip? 🙂

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

@sehaha but to answer your second question, yes you would have to turn off AutoPay to avoid the plan automatically renewing, so you would lose the autopay reward for this renewal.

If you don't pay your bill, you account will go into suspended status.  From that point you have 90 days to reactivate your account before you loose your number.  So.... Waiting to pay until you return from your trip will be fine then.  Good to go.
